From 1999-2003, I have served as a third grade Teacher's Aide focusing on on reading, memorization and basic math tutoring. Since 1999, I also have tutored middle, high school, and college students in pre-algebra, algebra, geography, computer skills, writing, and grammar. My master's degree has trained me in learning techniques.
In my experience, a person needs to be confident in him/herself in order to succeed. Learning of scholastic material is two fold: personal and academic development. By understanding the manner in which the student comprehends new information, we then can build upon their foundation by removing the frustration and replacing it with confidence that will extend into their personal life as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a working graphic designer for most of my life after graduation from Ohio State. After 12 years of design I was asked to participate in an art and education program at Chicago Public Schools Autism Program. I was hired on the spot and then continued with education by obtaining a masters degree in special education in Tempe Arizona. In Arizona I was assigned as an inclusion teacher for 9, 10 11th grade English. I had to accommodate diverse learners and plan instruction. I hold a valid Arizona Cross Catagorical Special Education Certificate that expires August 2013
I can identify students problems in learning and can accommodate and modify curriculum so diverse learning can understand grade level state standards.
