Hearing Impaired is one of my top subjects! I have a duel Masters in Deaf Education and also in Intervention. I have taught students who are D/HH from ages 7-21. I have been teaching children with special needs for 5 years.

I have worked in the public school system fro 5 years. I have worked as a Deaf Educator and also as an Intervention Specialist for grades K-12. I have been a private tutor for 2 years and have helped parents gain a library of resources for their children. I have and currently work with students who have a variety of needs such has behavior, ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Delay and other health impairments.

Learning is always easier when it is fun and interesting. In any given teaching situation I look for ways to add zest to learning. At the outset of tutoring I do an assessment of where students are currently achieving in a specific subject area, and identify skills that they may be lacking. I prefer to teach by utilizing real-life situations that are pertinent to the subject matter. In my opinion, when you are able to bring the subject matter to life by making it relevant to the students you are teaching, there is a greater chance that the student will not only understand the information, but remember it long after they leave the classroom.
