My style is age-appropriate: I modify my approach to accommodate age, learning level, personality and a combination of abilities and interests. Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! Lessons include reading comprehension skills such as determining main idea, making inferences, understanding causes and effects, etc. I also teach students to use reading strategies like visualizing, making connections, and questioning.

I have been teaching in a public school in the Sugar Land area for 27 years. For the past 10 years, I have taught both regular education and GT students in the English Language Arts block. Many of my former students were waived ESL intermediate students whose grasp of reading and writing grew within the time spent in my class. Having taught for more than five years as a certified teacher, I feel that I have what it takes to be an educator. Understanding the subject is understanding the student

I have experience with children from my 1 year working at Main Event Entertainment, my 4 months at PuttPutt Fun House, and my current volunteer work teaching Sunday school at my religious Hindu temple.
