Naturally, I aim to bring understanding to the problems/topics at hand. I also make sure to "fill-in-the-blanks" and bring understanding to any lacking pre-requisite knowledge. I have been tutoring for over 5 years, both privately and with businesses. In regards to business, I have tutored at Glendora Learning Center (Math and Spanish tutor), the Azusa Pacific University Math Center (Math tutor), and the APU Learning Enrichment Center (Math and Spanish tutor). In regards to math, I am in progress of getting a bachelor's degree in mathematics. In regards to Spanish, I lived in Ecuador on two different occasions with a Spanish-speaking family.

Working towards Computer Engineering Major at California State University Bakersfield.I have tutor some of my fellow friends from my Calculus and Physics class. I want to be a tutor because it is my passion to teach students. I have taken Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, 2, 3, and 4, Physics 1 (Mechanics) and Physics 2 (Electromagnetism). I have mastered all these classes with an A+. I want to help my students break down what they might think is a complicated subject, into incredibly simple digestible segments, and hopefully have some fun with the subject along the way.

My teaching style is to lead the student into an understanding of the material through discussion, hands-on projects, practice and mastery. It is important to master the previous material before moving on to the new. It is also important to relate new topics to what the student already knows. This helps the student to not only understand it better but also to remember it better and use it correctly. I am patient and creative in finding ways to present ideas in ways that will connect with real life. I believe that all children can learn, given the right methods and the willingness to learn. I have a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in Renewable Natural Resources and a Clear Single Subject Credential in Biological Sciences and Foundational Math (all but calculus). I have home schooled my children, worked in a private school both tutoring and teaching and taught in a public high school
