I enjoy teaching mathematics and have a deep love for what can be gained from having an understanding and appreciation of math. I also understand that math is not everyone's favorite subject. With that in mind my goal is for everyone that I teach or tutor to have enough of an understanding to appreciate its usefulness. I chose this major because I am fascinated by children, and how they all develop at their own individual rate. I am patient and kind, but at the same time, I like push a child to reach the potential that they usually do not ever realize they have. Children have different methods of learning and unfortunately, classroom settings do not meet all the students' needs. Some are more hands on, while some are just listeners. I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages. I taught dance for my high school years to younger children and I believe that has taught me a lot about teaching styles.
