I started in school system in 1999..I became a mentor working with at risk students I wanted to help students who lacked confidence, had low academic test scores, and lower level learners.I worked in Special Ed. for 5 yrs as teachers aide grades 6th, 7th, and 8th.I worked in the after school program teaching 4th and 5th grade combo. I have a Bachelors Degree, and have four classes toward a Masters. I began substitute teaching, learning handicapped, pre-k,k-3,and infant developement. I started teaching Sunday School when I was in Junior High. I taught a little boy in my class how to read and it was the most rewarding experience I have ever encountered. As aforementioned, throughout high school, I began tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, Science, and History. I tutored one 6th grade student who was ADHD. He had several tutors before me, but none had the patience to work with him. I started tutoring him and fell in love with this particular child. Because of my work with persons who have physical and mental problems, I have learned to be patient and sharpen my listening skills.
