A Little Bit About Me...

I have found that positive reinforcement is the most effective way to encourage students to learn. I truly believe that each person has potential regardless of social, economic, or other factors. As a tutor, I feel it is my job to find a way to motivate that student to reach his/her potential. I have worked with learners who absorb information in different ways (e.g., real-world application, memorization, repitition, etc.) and am capable of adapting to these various styles. As a manager in the corporate world, I found myself teaching on a daily basis. As a tutor, many of the principles I have developed over the years--including patience, perserverance, adaptability, and a positive attitude--apply as well.
