My teaching style depends on the student. I am comfortable with trying different study methods in order to figure out why my student is having trouble with a particular subject.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a student who went from living in Germany and being taught that there are many ways of getting the right answer, to moving to America where everything is taught in one way, I have learned to incorporate my tutoring skills to the need of each individual student. I try to figure out what works best for every individual and help them focus on their strength and improve their weaknesses.

I have obtained a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Western New England College and a Master's degree from the University of New Haven. While I worked at the University of New Haven, I was a Graduate Learning Assistant in the Disability Services office where I tutored and advised many students with various learning disabilities. I moved to California with nothing more than a suitcase and a desire to see new places. While I was there I was fortunate enough to work with a group of formerly incarcerated young women who were affiliated with the Center for Young Women’s Development. I created a writing workshop geared toward teaching these women to use their voices and to use writing as an outlet.
