I've got a lot of performing and music experience and follow the idea you can't really teach something if you can't do it!! The things I tutor are all things I have accomplishments in doing. I've taught creative writing to Japanese university students in English only (songs, stories and poetry) for two years, and ESL to all ages in Japanese society for 22 years. In America, I taught freshman public speaking, composition, and literature at the university level. My students have gone on to top-level universities, and placed first in prefectural level speech competitions. I teach how to learn, and encourage a love of learning, as well as teaching the subject. I base all my lessons on the value they allow the student to impart to society, both economically and ethically. I encourage students to welcome responsibility and empower themselves as learners.

I am dedicated to help others to better and empower themself through teaching and various learning processes. I have taught ESL at my church and enjoy helping others to overcome perceived barriers to learning. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Organizational Leadership and Development and feel strongly to helping people become better leaders as well as better people. The best way for this to happen is through listening, talking, and understanding the students' goals. Anyone can be taught anything as long as they are sincere in learning that thing.
