Since graduating from college, I have pursued further education through supplemental education. While working, I have attended classes in the evenings to keep current with teaching trends, practical classroom skills and the social-emotional needs of children in learning. For 8 years, I was an instructional assistant, but also substituted and served as an after school tutor. For the past 5 years, I have been a pre-school teacher with Migrant Head Start. I have worked in after school programs tutoring children throughout my college career. Then after my college career I taught 3rd Grade at Peaks Mill Elementary School in Frankfort, KY. I have worked with students of all levels and had special needs students in my class. All my class work was differentiated to meet the needs of each student.
