My comments on tutoring Microsoft Office : I use this software daily.

I have tutored children off and on since I was in high school. More recently, my time has been spent volunteering with The Giving Tree, where I tutored inner-city children after school and helped organize activities (museums, zoo, etc.) on the weekends. I am currently in the final stages of my dissertation for a doctorate in psychology, so I am always actively learning, too. My aspirations are to become a professor in higher education upon acquiring my Ph.D..
I think teaching styles should differ based on the preferred learning style of the student. The teaching style should play on the strengths and preferences of that particular student. A Little Bit About Me...

I have relatively open teaching style because I know that not all people learn in the same way. I try to adapt to the individuals needs based on their abilities, however on the whole I teach by showing the students what to do and then having them perform the action while answering any questions they may have.
I have spent a lot of time using Microsoft Word and Excel for a number of application over the past ten years and feel I have become very proficient in using it. If they're really stumped, then I try to teach them first from a conventional standpoint, then switch to a more example-based explanation.
