My comments on tutoring Physics : Being a double Pure Science subject student (Physics and Chemistry) all the way through college, I can coach and improve your grades in both.

I have tutored students since college days and have helped improved my students' grades in Math and Science through a methodical and clear strategy on how to approach problem solving. I have scored "A"s in my Math and (Pure) Science subjects in my high school through college level. Being a Graduate Engineer by profession, my passion lies in transferring my knowledge to the students and help improve their grades. As a professional, I am adept at using Microsoft Excel. Creating formula database, charts and performing statistical analysis are some of the useful knowledge that I can share.

A Little Bit About Me...

Mathematics is a universe based on rules. Some mathematical rules are so complex that the foundation required to understand them takes more than a decade to acquire. My teaching style requires a student to communicate their thoughts so that I can assist them in understanding concepts. Different students learn most efficiently in different ways and I take that into consideration when presenting concepts. I also demand of students that they understand a concept fully in a manner that allows them not only to communicate the concept but also to apply it.
I have been helping others learn the concepts of mathematics since I was a first grader teaching the second graders about the material we were covering in our combined class. My personal education experience has involved helping others reach their goals in several different learning areas. My professional tutoring experience has ... read more

I enjoy working with older children especially those in high school. I strongly believe that all students can suceed in the classroom as long as they have a good understanding of the materials being taught. And I make it my mission to make sure my students gain this understanding and will use any measure or teaching tool to ensure this. I am extremely patient and understanding with students and my ultimate goal is to see them suceed.

A Little Bit About Me...

I loved teaching in the classroom setting and will probably go back to that someday, but I have found a real passion and excitement these last two years working one-on-one with students. I enjoy getting to know students, discovering their strengths and weaknesses and using both to help them become lifetime learners. I feel strongly that students who struggle with reading, spelling and comprehension should receive special help at an early age and that the right methods can give them the skills they need to be successful in the future. I look forward to giving students the opportunity to succeed!
I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a science concentration and upon finishing my student teaching immediately took a full time job completing the remainder of the school year (March-June 2005) teaching middle school math. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a firm believer that every person can learn the complex subjects of mathematics and physics with the proper instruction. Since these subjects are abstract, they can be complicated. The "trick" is to figure out what the student responds to the best and use this teaching method to present the material (i.e. graphical vs. algebraic).
I have earned a Ph. D. in computational astrophysics and a minor in mathematics giving me the necessary skills to teach and tutor both mathematics and physics. Furthermore I have taught both physics and astronomy as a graduate student as well as a professor at both a small university (California Lutheran University) and a community college (Moorpark Community College). Lastly I've been a tutor for college students for about 2 years and to my wife for an additional 2 years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have two years of solid college-level mathematical and physics background. In college, I have mentored and helped my peer students with courses in mathematics, physics, and biology. I am currently tutoring physics with a student, and I have helped her understanding of the subject a lot. As a result, her grade has raised from a C on the first exam to an A+ on the second exam. As a college graduate from UC, I was constantly seeking high level of excellence and achievement in education.
I enjoy teaching middle school and high school students. I believe that education is a vital part to a person's success in the future. I am patient, easy going, and responsible. I understand that each student has a different interest so certain subjects could seem very boring to them. Besides having a concrete grasp on different areas of science, I am a very friendly and approachable person. My teaching style is to be assertive and give clear instructions. But, I also strive to make learning enoyable as possible. The best learning environment is when the student is having fun and enjoying what he is studying. I love to work with children of all ages. I also can teach young adults. I believe the relationship and communication between the tutor and tutee is the most important factor for a successful learning environment, and as the tutor I would strive to develop lesson plans to teach my student in the best way for his or her individual needs.
