I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a science concentration and upon finishing my student teaching immediately took a full time job completing the remainder of the school year (March-June 2005) teaching middle school math. In September of 2005 I began teaching middle school science and math as well as elementary school science labs at Santa Barbara Christian School. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a Ph. D. in computational astrophysics and a minor in mathematics giving me the necessary skills to teach and tutor both mathematics and physics. Furthermore I have taught both physics and astronomy as a graduate student as well as a professor at both a small university (California Lutheran University) and a community college (Moorpark Community College). Lastly I've been a tutor for college students for about 2 years and to my wife for an additional 2 years.
I am a firm believer that every person can learn the complex subjects of mathematics and physics with the proper instruction. Since these subjects are abstract, they can be complicated. The "trick" is to figure out what the student responds to the best and use this teaching method to present the material (i.e. graphical vs. algebraic).
