Piano is one of my top subjects! I've played the keys since I was 5. I'm now 60. That's a lot of experience! I have 2 degrees--one in church music (organ & voice) and one in music education K-6.

As a teacher of piano, organ and voice, I specialize in beginning through intermediate level, and accept students of all ages. I also teach most styles, including jazz & pop. Theory and improvisation are text (method) based, since I believe it's crucial to have an intellectual comprehension of the principals of harmony, melody and form. Vocal coaching focuses on fun repertoire, interpretation, vocal production and confidence-building.

My style of teaching was geared to the individuality of each child and his learning abilities. I feel that each child must learn at his own pace and it is my place to deal with this. I think that the teacher must motivate the child to want to learn and to discover the innate ability within each child.
