Science was my favorite subject matter in college and I like to break down difficult information into terms that are easier to understand and follow. For example, I like to break down scientific terms by their roots. In doing so, my students not only remember what the terms mean for that class but can also apply that knowledge in future class work. My style of teaching is very associative. I like to take any material that my student is trying to learn and present it in a way they can relate to, or may apply to them directly. The different lifestyles of our students affect their learning behaviors. A child who has never been more than ten miles from home and whom has never seen a play, may find it difficult to relate to William Shakespeare.
