My comments on tutoring ASVAB : I almost joined the military after college. I was in the Navy ROTC program for four years, and then decided at the last minute that I wanted to be an engineer in the private sector. However, before I realized that the ASVAB was not required to go into the ROTC program, I took it. I received a 98/100 score, which would have qualified me for any job I would have possibly wanted in the military. As far as the subject matter goes, the ASVAB is hardly any more difficult than the ACT or SAT. In fact, I would argue that it's a great deal easier. However, for those not knowing what to expect it can be intimidating, which is why most people make their mistakes on it. My goal is to help minimize the amount of mistakes that you (or your student) are prone to make on the ASVAB by instilling a familiarity for the subject matter, and helping the student get the best score possible!

For three years, I worked as academic aide and tutor for University of Montana Disabled Student Services. Upon graduation and then moving to Florida, I taught environmental science to students and adults of all ages and abilities as forester for Levy county. Currently, I am enrolled in a second Bachelor's degree in psychology.

Learning has always been fun to me. I love helping and teaching others, especially kids. My Godmother has been the Director for tutoring services for FCAT for many years so I’ve shadowed her majority of my life. While in high school I tutored her elementary students after school in basic algebra and science. We also tutored middle school students on Saturdays getting them prepared for FCAT. I tutored kids in reading and math, mostly math because I have a strong background in math and I’ve always excelled in the subject. Teaching is important to every individual no matter what age. The learning experience is never-ending. Children are very important to me as they are the future. Also if it weren't for my wonderful teachers I would have hated the academic process. It is important to note that no matter how far a student is behind nor how hard it is to recognize concepts I am beyond patient when explaining ideas and concepts.
