My comments on tutoring ASVAB : I almost joined the military after college. I was in the Navy ROTC program for four years, and then decided at the last minute that I wanted to be an engineer in the private sector.
However, before I realized that the ASVAB was not required to go into the ROTC program, I took it. I received a 98/100 score, which would have qualified me for any job I would have possibly wanted in the military.
As far as the subject matter goes, the ASVAB is hardly any more difficult than the ACT or SAT. In fact, I would argue that it's a great deal easier. However, for those not knowing what to expect it can be intimidating, which is why most people make their mistakes on it. My goal is to help minimize the amount of mistakes that you (or your student) are prone to make on the ASVAB by instilling a familiarity for the subject matter, and helping the student get the best score possible!
Greetings one and all!
My name is Tristan, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida's College of Engineering as of August 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Nuclear Engineering and a cumulative GPA of 3.25 (and I will tell you that I earned every point of it).
I am looking forward to using my knowledge and proficiency in various fields of math and science to make your four year slog through the rigors of academia as palpable as possible. I offer flexible hours, friendly demeanor, and a patient approach to tutoring that caters to your individual skill set. All of this comes at a reasonable price, which can of course be negotiated to suit your budget (remember, I was once a broke college student too).
In short: I work with you, for you, and on your terms!
