My comments on tutoring Testing Strategies : Same as above.

My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. In addition, the subject that I am teaching also affects my style and some 'tools' that I learned as a youngster and a teacher are also implemented frequently.
I was trained to be a teacher at CSU-Fresno, where I graduated in May, 1999. I substituted for 3 consecutive years in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera Unified School districts at grade levels 3-12. I received my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from the American Public University system in May, 2011, and graduated with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am currently trying to obtain my credential and hope to be an Athletic Director one day.

Using the Right Methods to Unlock a Students Full Potential!

I've always enjoyed helping others understand mathematics. During my high school years i would voluntarily help my friends, and the classmates near me keep up with class lectures and provide them with tips to help them complete take home assignments. I know the importance of having a personalized method of teaching according to the individual and their specific needs. No one learns the same so we should not be taught the same!
Most of the students who require tutoring have trouble building on previous lessons they have learned. The problem is if a student fails to learn a concept in class by the time the teacher moves on, he/she will be left behind from that point on. The job of a tutor is to find these hold ups and patch them with a customized lesson plan to fit the students learning patterns. I think each student is differnt and so is their learning style. As a teacher I want my student to find their confidence in math which mostly comes when they understand the subject completely. I not only have lot of experience under my belt but since I compelted part of studies in a different school system, I am able to explain one problem in several different ways.
