As a high school teacher for 13 years, I have had a profound impact on the academic and personal success of a great majority of my students. I have a diverse field of experience. I received a dual B.A. in Linguistics and Anthropology in 2006. This allows me to understand language tutoring at a deeper level than most tutors. This foundation has been augmented by 5 years of teaching experience in ESOL, History, Academic Writing, and Professional interview training which I have conducted all over the world. In 2009, I received my MA in applied linguistics. This degree worked as a capstone to perfect my teaching style in regards to ESL.

What is called the "Affective Filter" is what I deal with most: that is the part of each student that is unwilling to try.
