From 1991-2004,I worked as a Transition Teacher for student's with disabilities. My primary responsibility was to do planning, motivation, student self-assessment,individual performance that was teacher observed and on site assessment by the employer in a supported work environment.I've also taught Social Studies and Economics at the Secondary level. I currently work in a PreK-12 School setting as a Certified School Library Media Specialist. I am responsible for teaching Prek-6th grade library/research lessons. When I am not teaching I am monitoring 7-12 students who are utilizing the library media cnter. I manage two library spaces, am the primary purchaser for books, technologies, and databases, and work closely with the administration team to meet and exceed curricular goals. From smart boards (promethean), webquests via the internet, to old fashioned poster board in a cooperative learning atmosphere.
