The vast majority of my experience has been obtained throughout my time in college and my willingness to help fellow students and/or friends in a variety of studies. My studies throughout college primarily consist of the sciences, including chemistry, biology, and physics. My willingness to help others is where my want to tutor stems from.

Since a child, I have always been curious of the world around me. My interests culminated with the completion of two degrees in the natural sciences. I consider myself a true inter-disciplinarian, supplementing both my degrees with courses in applied sciences, economics and the arts, to improve my understanding of the connections between science and the world. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a PhD candidate in Ecology at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Throughout my education and short career I have developed teaching skills through tutoring, teaching labs to middle school students, mentoring high school students and giving informational talks on environmental issues to the public. I enjoy teaching and I feel that I have a gift for explaining science and math to people unexperienced in these subjects.

I am and always have been an avid reader. I learned to speak well from my mom who was an English teacher. As a naval officer and training analyst I have developed some skill at writing. My undergraduate college degree is a B.S. in Agricultural Education. This degree included a fair amount of science and so I am qualified to teach biology, chemistry, vocational agriculture, and horticulture. My graduate degree is an M.S. in Educational Administration. I spent ten years in the navy as a naval flight officer with a subspecialty in electronic warfare. I taught general science, physical science and biology two years at an inner city magnet school.
