My general approach is to focus on the logical foundations of a given subject and then to exercise that knowledge on practical applications. I have a passion for teaching and helping others. While getting my law degree (more on that below), I tutored math at all levels (K thru College Algebra) at Huntington Learning Center in Jackson, MS. I built a strong reputation at the Center for working really well with students, finding the right approach for each student, and getting great results. Many parents scheduled their child's time around my availability and work schedule. I've worked as an actuary (highly math-oriented) for the Tennessee Department of Insurance and have spent most of my career working in the insurance industry where math is very much at the center of everything.
