Experience Summary
I have been a substitute teacher and tutor for general education and special education students of the Williamson County School District. Before that, I was working with adults and students in a ministry environment back in Texas as a worship leader and music teacher. My education has centered around music, theology, and literature primarily (with a general exposure to various other sciences).
Teaching Style
I like to give students the tools and watch them practice using those tools for themselves. I encourage two-way communication.
My Hobbies
Music, church activities, reading, taking care of our family dog (Walter), and walking outdoors.
Other Comments
I am back in school, working on my Bachelor's of Science in Creative Arts and Theology. I hope to get certification to teach full-time in public schools within the next two years. I enjoy learning new things and helping others learn along the way. I believe that the two attributes which set us apart from the rest of the living things on Earth are these; knowledge of the world beyond ourselves and the imagination it takes to interact with it. The opportunities provided in those two attributes are what I love about learning and teaching.
