About Me

Experience Summary

I have zero formal teaching experience. However, I do have a great love for the beauty of math and a great interest in helping others reach their mathematic potential. I have spent a great deal of time with Calculus and Probability with a focus on detail and problem solving during the course of my actuarial studies, and my algebra skills are incidentally very good.

Teaching Style

Easygoing. Math is fun! I believe everyone has the ability to understand and apply math, or in other words, to be good at it. My general approach is to focus on the logical foundations of a given subject and then to exercise that knowledge on practical applications. Nearly everything you need to know is right there in your text! It just takes a careful and thorough reading of the material, much like any other subject.

My Hobbies

Snowboarding, surfing, camping, reading, golf, general fitness

Other Comments

My complete list of proficiencies is as follows: Statistics for Business, Economics, Science, and Engineering, Algebra, Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations, Calculus I, II, and III, Probability, Trigonometry, and some applications of advanced math for engineering.
