I have worked both at private and public middle schools. I've gained great respect for diversity in all it's wonderful forms. My experience has taught me that each child, not only deserves, but dreams of success. My belief that each child is "gift-brilliant" in some area, grows stronger the more experienced I become in my career as an educator and as a parent. In my experience, often times a student’s ability to learn is tied in with their trust of and rapport with the person teaching them. I feel it is important to allow the student to go at his or her “own pace” and not create a frustrating environment where they may feel too pressured.
