My comments on tutoring Organic Chemistry : I took both Organic Chemistry I and II and did well in both classes. I need to know what material to tutor on before so I can prepare.

I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! As an undergraduate student at the University of Connecticut, an employee of the Trumbull Board of Education recommended me to tutor math to high school students. The student I was to tutor was a 15 year old mother who at the time, due to maternity leave, could not attend school. I was challenged to go to her house twice a week to tutor her in basic algebra.
