I am currently an English major at The University of Tampa and will be graduating December of this year. My aspirations are to become an English teacher as well as a head contact for TESOL. I have had the opportunity to work with children that are struggling with reading, reading comprehension, and English. I am also taking coursework to attain a certification in TESOL. My teaching style is student centered. I believe that in order for the student to grasp the material the lesson needs to be meaning for them. The authoritative teacher is not me. I like to be flexible making accommodations for the student so that they will have an open room to learn, because every student doesn’t learn the same way.
