Experience Summary
I have tutored in the Public Schools for many years while my children were young. As a young teen I even graded papers for teachers who were not associated with my school district. I enjoy teaching and get great satisfaction from the success when a student gets it! I home schooled my middle child when she became too ill to attend school on a regular basis. My method for her taught her to be very responsible. Upon graduation she had better self confidence and had a 4.0 in college and successfully completed her degree. I expect that after her child is older she will return to further her education.
Teaching Style
What is appropriate for the student is my style. If the student needs much one on one to learn, that's okay. His or her peaked interest in learning and the understanding of its necessity is my key goal. I have three very different children and all of have different styles of learning. One gifted, one with learning disabilities, and the one who got ill and had to be home schooled through High School.
My Hobbies
I love water sports and the general outdoors. Family game night or cards is fun too! Games can help students to learn educational basics.
