My teaching style with younger children is to have a relaxed setting where no pressure in placed upon the student. I'm always sure to review my material before going into a new lecture. When a student is not understanding the material I try to use many methods for then to gain a better understanding. When I was younger it was easier for me to understand information if I can relate it to my life, so I will apply the same methods with teaching others. As a college student I am still striving for my goal and dream of becoming a veterinarian. I have always been a mentor in my community and willing to help others where they need help. I enjoy teaching one-on-one and have found this to be the most effective in regards to my students success. I believe that every student can do well in math but every student has a different pace. I try to adapt to each student's pace/learning style as I explain a new concept. After completing my MS in Mathematics from CSU East Bay, I began tutoring high school students privately.
