Being around children that ranged from ages from six to twelve I had to find many different ways to teach kids how to learn things such as history even though they had problems reading and math even though they were just learning how to count. So at the start I would try a visual approach because if they could see the problem they were doing they had a chance to get the number right. If they had problems reading I would break down a word looking for smaller words that they knew. The teachers who continue to influence me and affect my day-to-day life are those who had a genuine passion for teaching and a contagious love for their subject. They were the best teachers, not only because they possessed the necessary knowledge, but because they were animated and caring and able to cater to students' needs.
I believe all children can be made to see the benefits of education through the right teaching methods.
If there is anything I do not know, I am able to research and learn about it independently. The most memorable teachers did not always know the answer, but they always knew where to find it or how to help the students find it.
