I have been working with youth for over ten years. As a private music instructor and substitute teacher I have had the opportunity to work with students K-12 with a wide array of abilities. During the school year of 2009-2010 I was a para-professional in a Kindergarten PDD class (pervasive development disorder/autism) where I helped administer IEP directed lessons for 8 children on the spectrum. I have developed lesson plans for both my private students and the music production programs I've directed for the past 4 years. I am a student a middle school math education major at FSU here in Tallahassee. I am currently a senior who is set up to graduate at the end of the year. I love working with children of all ages. I really like elementary age children. I have a hands-on approach to education. I want kids to get their hands into activities so that they may retain things longer. Now I do realize that not every student is hands-on.
