During my high school years I would volunteer to help children through various charities and church. When I attended college I became an Early Childhood Education major and volunteered in preschool and elementary schools. During my Student Teaching in Des Plaines I was in complete control of a Kindergarten classroom and later a 2nd Grade class. After graduating I began working in a daycare where I created activities for children as young as 3 years old and activities and homework help for elementary students as old as 13.

In the time that I’ve spent tutoring Spanish, what I’ve always found to be true is that in order to succeed, a student needs to have an approach to the material that works for them on a personal level. Whether that means amassing small mountains of flash cards or listening to Spanish-language podcasts or trying to equate Spanish verb conjugations with English, every student has something that works for them.
