As a graduate from western Carolina University, I earned my BS in Criminal Justice in three years and am close to gaining my MS in Human Services. I have been working in the human service field as a case manager/community support worker. Although it is not thought of as a teaching job, I have had the pleasure of teaching children and adults basic skills, academic skills and assisting with homework. Having wanted to teach since I was a child, I pursued my degree at UNC Wilmington and graduated magna cum laude in May 2010. I now teach at Duplin Early College High School and am finishing my first year of teaching.
