My teaching style is adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn. The approach to learning is what makes the difference. Being a mother, I love children and am very patient. I also know that kids have their own distinct personalities and I address each child as an individual person, with their own talents and ideas. There is nothing better than when a person's face lights up, young or old, when they "get it." A Little Bit About Me...

I earned my BA in Political Science and graduated from one of the best state schools in the United States, then went to law school and graduated near the top of my class. Both degrees involved large and complex amounts of reading and writing as well as excellent study habits. For the past five years as part of my job I taught reading and writing to individuals with developmental disabilities. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate from western Carolina University, I earned my BS in Criminal Justice in three years and am close to gaining my MS in Human Services. I have been working in the human service field as a case manager/community support worker. Although it is not thought of as a teaching job, I have had the pleasure of teaching children and adults basic skills, academic skills and assisting with homework. The homework assistance ranged from 3rd grade to highschool. I was able to assist one of my students with improving his reading score in a semester.
