I am certified by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators as an Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator. Orton-Gillingham is a multisensory literacy approach that includes explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, reading, spelling, and writing. A Little Bit About Me...

While attending Mary Baldwin College, I not only majored in English, but also worked as a tutor in the school writing center. As a tutor, I worked with students (freshmen-seniors) on basic editorial skills, correct punctuation, and the overall writing process (brainstorming, rough drafts, final copies, etc).
