I especially enjoy working with students who want to learn, and I truly love math. I know that math concepts are especially difficult for many students to grasp. I feel confident in my approach to assist students in meeting and exceeding their goals. I am a patient, caring person, anxious to make a difference in the lives of my students.

A Little Bit About Me...

My experience, specifically within the past two years, has been extensive. During this time spent at Webster University I was hired by the Student Literacy Corps, a non-profit organization funded by the university for the purpose of educating students in the St. Louis Public School District in English and writing. In addition to experience in the classroom in developing and implementing lesson plans and developing interpersonal skills with children of many ages, I also studied subjects such as calculus, astrophysics, South African history, and music theory. My experience in school has made me a well-rounded academic, and my experience outside of school has made me a well-rounded educator. A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy tutoring. I love watching the students gain confidence as we work through the problems. I believe my attitude and approach to teaching helps the students. I provide enough understanding to the students but still challenge them. The worst thing you can do, is just give the answers. I believe everyone wants to learn and do their best, but it is hard when you do not understand what you are trying to do. My approach to teaching is build the students confidence by showing them that no problem is to difficult to challenge. I enjoy working with students step by step through each problem so that they can understand the essence of the question being asked and as such if the question is framed differently they are still able to answer it. I also strive to to challenge the students to accomplish the tasks that i have tutored them in by giving them similar problems to complete by themselves.
I am a recent graduate with a Masters in Accounting and also have a bachelors degree in business with a concentration in finance.
