My comments on tutoring Geography : I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. I am certified K-6th grade. I also taught advanced and Intermediate math and language arts in a GED/HiSet program. I currently teach ESOL/CIVICS for an Adult School.

My teaching philosophy starts out with essentialism which believes in a strong core curriculum and high academic standards. I believe it is important to have a strong foundation on which to build upon. After ensuring a strong foundation I tend to lean more towards progressivism. I believe students should be taught what is relevant today while becoming more independent learners, by utilizing problem solving skills and critical thinking. My personal style varies on the pupil. These may vary from simply being frustrated with the curriculum to a myriad of influences. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in basic teaching with practice,and feedback. The differeniation of individual learning styles is always taken into consideration. A Little Bit About Me...

My goal is to help each child reach his or her potential. The best way to do this, is to first identify the child's learning style.
