A Little Bit About Me...

Along with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, I have many educational experiences in the area of science, math, history (to name a few). And in all levels of the educational process; from elementary through high school and even collegiate. My previous experience has included high school students and many college undergrads.
My personal style varies on the pupil. These may vary from simply being frustrated with the curriculum to a myriad of influences. My style is considered out of the box, meaning that if the standard method does not "click" with him/her, then I enjoy finding something of interest to them, to relate that to the subject at hand. My comments on tutoring Geography : For several years I was the assistant in an Elementary School Geography Club.

I am a "hands-on" approach teacher. Often educators think students are grasping the concept when they are really just hearing, not listening.
I taught from the year 2000-2013 in Gwinnett County Public Schools. 2013-2014 tried Georgia Pre-K; which I enjoyed but was unable to live on the salary. I moved to a charter school and discovered that was not the place for me. I am now in Fulton County and love it. I have had the opportunity to meet amazing staff and students, making my job a pleasure to come to. In the 2015-2016 school year I will be teaching Interrelated Special Education in 4th and 5th grade.

My comments on tutoring Geography : I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. I am certified K-6th grade. I also taught advanced and Intermediate math and language arts in a GED/HiSet program. I currently teach ESOL/CIVICS for an Adult School.
