I have spent the last five years in the United Kingdom working on my bachelor and master degrees in English Literature and Applied Linguistics. From 2003-2006 I volunteered at the University's Language Resource Center where I tutored international students on their English language skills (reading, writing, speaking) and study skills. I have just spent the past two months (July-August 07) working at a study tour program for Italian students. I was an ESL teacher and taught 15-20 students at a time, focusing on writing in English and conversation skills. I am also in the process of getting my MA degree in Applied Linguistics. I always take care of three main steps: warm up - where I review or introduce a new content, body - where I develop the topic with three or four different activities taking into account different learning styles and strategies and finally the wrap up - where I close the topic and assign the homework or any activity for the next class.
