My comments on tutoring Special Education : I HAVE BEEN A SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS AND THIS HAPPENS TO BE MY THIRD YEAR TEACHING IN THE SAME FIELD.

Used what appears to work best for students. With all methods involved such as direct instruction, small groups and monitoring. Also engaged students in peer tutoring where that appears to work best for students with low ability to comprehend and understand the basics.Also observed was involving parents in homework assignments.Students who appear to have had a constant outstanding behavior, attendance and complete their assignments are assigned some assignments in the resource class to enable them interact with other students and know that they can make it outside the moderate intervention services class.

I have been involved in higher education since my 2nd year of college. I also have been involved in helping local elementary, junior high, and high school students in the areas of the sciences, computer technology, and math. I would have taught high school but I found higher ed to be more interesting. I have a BS in Biology with a minor in Computer Science. I also have a M.Ed. in Education Administration and Supervision with 17 graduate hours of Biology.
