After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a BA in English, I went on to pursue my teaching certification through an internship program. During that time and shortly following, I had the opportunity to work as a teacher's assistant in grades 3 and 5, a long term substitute in grade 3, and a long term substitute in a sixth grade Language Arts class.
