In earning my bachelors of science degree at the University of South Carolina Aiken, I gained a true love for biology. I excelled in entry-level biology classes, as well as higher-level science classes such as ecology and evolution. I am also proficient in writing, English, and math. During my college career, I have tutored mostly in sciences and math.
I know firsthand that great teachers make great students. It took several years to discover my learning style because I had to find it on my own. I want to be able to help students find their own learning style. I believe that subjects are best learned when broken down, and repetition is key. I also believe practice makes perfect. I know that a student needs to know the basics first, then can move on to more complex ideas.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a student throughout high school and college I have enjoyed learning and often joke with my friends that I would go to school forever if I could. I have earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry at a very academic and research oriented school. I am currently continuing my education through an online Master's of Science in Forensic Toxicology program with the University of Florida. I very much enjoy learning about mathematics and sciences, but have also acquired a broad knowledge of grammar and writing through laboratory reports and essays. I have tutored several of my friends informally and started tutoring students in Algebra I/II, Chemistry, and basic reading/math skills about two years ago.
