My personal approach to teaching varies between student and student, situation and situation. Generally, I make sure I understand the specific lesson the student has to learn, and then ask them building block questions to make them come up with the answer. This is similar to AVID training, where the answers have to come from questioning each other. If technology is around, I prefer to also use that to explain the problems. At North Carolina State University, I was a teacher assistant for two years, explaining to the students how computers and intel assembly work.
