Spanish is one of my top subjects! I am not a Spanish teacher, however I do know how to teach Spanish. I spent a year in Argentina not knowing a word of spanish. I went through a difficult program in which I was taught spanish as a second language and I shared a room with 5 other girls who only spoke spanish. I know how to memorize spanish I know how to study for a spanish test and I can explain the basics of spanish as well as the more complex aspects of spanish to anyone willing to learn. Not only do I know and understand the grammatical aspect of the language but I also understand the different cultures and accents of spanish in different South American countries. I would be happy to help teach or understand or even practice spanish with anyone who needs help and is willing to learn.

The way I teach depends on the needs of the student. I personally learn by being show and then doing something while someone stands there to make sure I do it correctly until I can do it on my own. I can use visual strategies, repetition, games, songs, rhymes, whatever it takes to make sure I am clear and understood. I was always a slow learner when it came to certain subjects so I understand the frustration a child, or student can experience when a teacher is impatient or they just cant seem to get it right no matter what. I am a native Spanish speaking criminal and civil trial attorney. I do not have extensive tutorial experience but I am very personable and professional. I legally immigrated from Paraguay to the U.S. in 2009, following my marriage to my husband who is a U.S. military servicemember. I hope that by helping others learn Spanish, then I will be able to improve my own grasp of the English language.
I believe that speaking ability should be the primary focus of any language, along with traditional reading and writing skills. So I would decribe my approach as conversation-based. However, I am willing to focus instruction based on the client's desired outcome.

My comments on tutoring Spanish : conversational, vocabulary

I like to put my students in situations they would face in their travels whether is business or pleasure and teach them how to manage those situations using the spanish they learn with me. There is a lot of conversation and vocabulary clases before we hit the " field"
I was born in Valencia Venezuela, and lived there until I moved to the United States in the 80's I graduated with a Business Administration Degree and I have worked for bank of America teaching/tutoring executives in conversational spanish and vocabulary before schedule trips overseas.
