I have served as the 6th grade lead teacher at Rolling Acres Edison. I teach full inclusion science and social studies by integrating math and reading skills. I am responsible for leading daily team meetings concerning student data. Together we use monthly online diagnostic testing to ensure student success on state mandated tests. As a team leader, I meet bi-weekly with our school's leadership team. I developed and implemented an RTI model used by the 5th and 6th grade teams at Rolling Acres in an effort to increase reading benchmark scores of struggling readers. I have worked in ICC's mathlab since fall 2008, tutoring all kinds of math ranging from elementary Algebra and Geometry to Calculus, though I do not do statistics. I can also tutor Discrete Math, a subject about logic, math puzzles, algorithms and computational concepts. I am an active member of the Association of Mathematics Engineering and Science Students, a club that promotes group work and student tutoring.
