I was a very shy child, and have been able to find comfort within to obtain success in not only the classroom, but in life. I am good at drawing students out of their shell, and figuring out how they can be most comfortable with academics to benefit the most from their education. I believe that my success in a tutoring situation is as dependent on the student’s style of learning as it is on my method of tutoring. I recognize not everyone learns the same way. I am a believer of asking the student where they are struggling and what they feel the problem is, so I can mold the tutoring session to best benefit him, or her, based on personality and comfort.
