Experience Summary
My entire educational career has been based on my innate drive for excellence. I was valedictorian of my high school class, graduated Summa Cum Laude as a triple major (Accountancy, Business Management, and Marketing), double minor (Political Science and Economics), and will have a Master’s degree in Accountancy in May. I have a solid base and polished skills in writing for a range of disciplines. I began tutoring and coaching a variety of different topics and sports during my freshman year of high school (almost eleven years ago), and have experience in mathematics, english, history, accounting, business, marketing, political science, and economics. I, also, have experience with advising from my years as a professors’ assistant.
Teaching Style
I was a very shy child, and have been able to find comfort within to obtain success in not only the classroom, but in life. I am good at drawing students out of their shell, and figuring out how they can be most comfortable with academics to benefit the most from their education. I believe that my success in a tutoring situation is as dependent on the student’s style of learning as it is on my method of tutoring. I recognize not everyone learns the same way. I am a believer of asking the student where they are struggling and what they feel the problem is, so I can mold the tutoring session to best benefit him, or her, based on personality and comfort. This approach has found success whether I was coaching, guiding, or teaching.
