I love helping people realize that they are smarter than they think. Seeing the look on a student's face when he/she grasps a new concept is a very rewarding experience. I understand that most people want to do well, but have often encountered hurdles that don't allow them the success that they are seeking. I want to guide the student to figuring out the right answer themselves by demonstrating a problem for them, and having them work a similar one. I will be there step by step to offer direction in a very pleasant, easy going manner. My experience in teaching is limited other than helping my brother-in-law with tutoring through algebra in college. I enjoyed it very much, and it was extremely fulfilling. I have 25 years experience in the civil engineering field, specifically the water resources area. I started substitute teaching at both the Lincoln Community High School and Hartem School District in 2009. I also started tutoring for Lincoln College in the Academic Success Center, last year.
