I have been teaching since I was young. I have tutored students since the age of 14 and I have taught students from ages 3 to 18 years old. I have been teaching in the Texas public school system for the last 4 years and I have loved every minute of it! I have taught all grades from Kindergarten to 5th as a special education inclusion teacher. As an inclusion teachers I have been able to teach grade level content to students who understand it but need for it to be taught in a different way. Following this, I returned to school for Nursing. Eventually, we moved to Texas where I applied,tested and obtained my LCCA License. While in New York State, I was employed through the Alternative Suspension Program as an LVN. While there,I assisted with the teaching of students. This in turn gave me the opportunity to obtain my certification in Teaching. I remained in this position for two years. During this time, I had my own case load of 5-8 students grade 7-12. Achieving a BA in history from TAMUCC has taught me to peer further into investigations of any sort. It has provided me with the tools that allow me to critically analyze situations and arguments. Being able to critically analyze different perspectives gives me the ability to discover different conclusions to arguments or problems. This degree has also honed in my reading and writing skills to that of a scholar's level. While attending TAMUCC, I often found my self helping others understand the complex arguments in our philosophy classes.
