Physics is one of my top subjects!

I like to teach by first explaining the concepts and reasons for why we are doing a problem. Some subjects are hard to understand so changing the words into familiar terms is a useful tool I use. I like to have fun while helping others learn but also make sure to keep the meeting focused.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is perhaps not as Socratic as I would prefer. I first elucidate the principles being considered, and then use a practical means to illustrate and work with that principle. I like to have the student learn to derive what is being taught for themselves. That way the material will stay with them. Grounding the material being learned in some real-life experience makes knowledge meaningful and useful. That is what I endeavor to achieve.
While pursuing my Master's degree, I taught several sections on Civil Engineering principles. I also held office hours to tutor students in any other classwork where they were in need of assistance. Subjects ranges from physics to structural mechanics to hydrology to fluid mechanics.

I love the learning process and I find great joy in sharing my knowledge with others. My general approach to teaching is by presenting the material in a way that reaches all modes of learning. To accomplish this I begin by explaining the material to reach the auditory development. Then I work through some examples to connect with the visual learning process.
